Missions

Based on dictionary.com defintion, Missions is a group or committee of persons sent to a foreign country to conduct negotiations, establish relations, provide scientific and technical assistance. It is a noun. Recently I went for a National Missions Conference and I felt very encouraged to see so many people going to Asia from the West to see more people coming to know Jesus christ and powerful testimonies rocking from Indonesia to Nepal to China and then to Cambodia:)

This is a photo of Honduras of how the children are helped there.

This reminds me of how much I miss the orphans at Batam

I am considering a trip to help the orphans at Batam during the holidays.

“I have found that there are three stages in every great work of God: first, it is impossible, then it is difficult, then it is done.” Hudson Taylor( A Westerner who went to China to be a Missionary. He founded China Inland Missions)

"I have but one candle of life to burn, and I would rather burn it out in a land filled with darkness than in a land flooded with light" — John Keith Falconer

"To know the will of God, we need an open Bible and an open map." — William Carey, pioneer missionary to India

This shows a list of quotes from a very useful website: http://home.snu.edu/~HCULBERT/slogans.htm

If you heard Jesus but never know who Jesus is, I would like to encourage you to take one step further by asking your christian friends who Jesus is and how powerful the bible scriptures are.
